Sydney, Australia - Savills Australia & New Zealand has appointed Emily Gold as Director, Hotel Capital Markets, further strengthening its Hotels & Hospitality platform and expanding its advisory capability across hotel investment, development and operational real estate.
Based in Sydney, Emily joins the Hotels & Hospitality team from Savills' Operational Capital Markets business, bringing experience across investment sales, capital transactions, development advisory and strategic asset positioning. Having advised institutional, private and corporate clients across Australia and the United Kingdom, she has a strong track record in Living-sector assets including Build-to-Rent (BTR), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Co-Living. Her expertise in structured transactions, capital partnerships, project positioning and development strategy will support hotel owners, investors and developers seeking to maximise asset performance and value.
Nicholas Lower, Head of Hotels & Hospitality, Savills Australia & New Zealand, said:
"Emily's appointment further strengthens our Hotel Capital Markets capability at a time of growing investor interest in operational real estate and the hotels sector. Her experience across investment sales, capital transactions and development advisory brings a highly complementary skillset to our team."
"Having worked closely with Emily on opportunities over several years, we have seen first-hand her ability to connect capital, development and operational strategy to deliver strong outcomes for clients. The overlap between the Living and Hotels sectors continues to grow, and Emily's experience positions her exceptionally well to advise hotel owners, investors and developers as the market evolves."
Emily Gold, Director, Hotel Capital Markets, Savills Australia & New Zealand, said:
“Hotels and Living sector assets share a common foundation - creating accommodation that people want to stay in, or live in. While each sector has its own dynamics, both rely on a clear vision, the right operating partner and a well-considered investment strategy to unlock long-term value.
I’m excited to bring my experience in development advisory and investment sales into the Hotels space, working with clients and investors to identify opportunities and deliver successful outcomes.”
Emily is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and holds a Master of Real Estate with Distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Geography (First Class Honours).
