- How did you get started in property?
My real estate career started with my father, he is a well-known property manager in the Sydney Chinatown Haymarket area. - What is happening in your market right now?
The confidence towards certain types of assets are quite low; buyers are only interested in long term, strong tenants. Meanwhile vendors are holding onto their assets until they know a good price can be achieved. - How has COVID-19 affected your market? What are you/your team doing to combat this?
Like all markets, we have definitely been affected. We compare our market with the ones from overseas and provide buyers with assurance that the Australian market is a safe haven. - When do you think the market will bounce back?
There is evidence that the market has already crossed its most negative state. - What is one tip you would give investors/landlords right now?
Now is a fantastic time to expand and upsize your portfolio, capture the moment before it is too late. - What is one tip you would give owners/ tenants right now?
DON’T panic, even though we may experience a lower number of enquiries than previously, those who are coming through are generally more qualified. - Name one career highlight from the past 12-18 months & why
I was able to witness Savills win the REINSW Large Commercial Agency Award for 2020. After an especially tough year for the entire industry, I am proud to be part of such a strong and resilient team! - Tell us about the most unique/special property you have sold/ leased
I was able to achieve a strata retail record for the Chippendale precinct soon after returning to the office, after working remotely due to COVID.
