New life brought to leather tannery in Botany

A private investor has purchased a 2,461sq m freestanding industrial building in Botany from Woodsize Pty Ltd for $5,730,000.

Located at 36 Chegwyn Street, the freestanding industrial building comprises a 2,461sq m high clearance warehouse with first floor office and storage space. The freestanding building sits on a 1,646sq m site area and has two street frontages.

The deal was negotiated by Edward Washer and Sam Wallace, Savills Industrial & Logistics, who said the sales campaign saw a large amount of interest from owner occupiers and investors.

According to Mr Washer, “The buyer saw great value long term in the location and the flexible B7 business park zoning and 1.5:1 FSR.

“Previously used as a leather tannery, the new owners will look to bring new life to the building and align it with tenant demand in the area.”
