San Diego office market leasing activity rebounds
Leasing activity in the San Diego office market totaled 1.2 million square feet (msf) in Q2 2026, representing a 52.5% increase from the prior quarter and a 36.9% increase year over year. The quarter marked the strongest leasing performance in more than a year, with leasing activity surpassing the five-year quarterly average and exceeding 1.0 msffor the first time in seven quarters. The I-15 Corridor submarket led leasing activity with 276,327 square feet (sf) leased during the quarter, driven largely by Apple Inc.’s 196,734-sf renewal in Rancho Bernardo. While tenant demand is showing signs of improvement, stronger leasing activity has yet to translate into a sustained, market-wide recovery.
