Applying to Schools in Monaco

In the public system, the school in which the student will be going depends on the geographical area they live in. An exemption can be requested to the authorities in order to attend a school that is not in the residency’s geographical area. Residency in Monaco is required and those who wish to enrol need to attest of that. There is a priority given to Monegasque children or those with at least one Monegasque parent.

Even though they have less priority, children of Monaco employees resident outside can also request from the authorities an authorisation to school their children in Monaco.

The application form and list of required documents can be found on the website of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport.
