17 December 2018

Savills Studley today announced that one of the firm’s New York brokerage teams, led by Vice Chairmen Daniel Horowitz and Jeffrey Peck, has hired Valerie Carlise as Managing Director.

In Carlise’s new role as a tenant representation broker, she brings over 15 years of experience leading workplace operations efficiency. Previously, Carlise served as Savills Studley’s Director of Operations for the Northeast Region, where she was responsible for facilities management, workflow and process efficiency, accounting (deal management, cash and revenue reporting), recruiting, staff management and HR for over eight years. Earlier in her career, Carlise gained diverse experience at Cushman & Wakefield, JLL and the Staubach Company.

Joining a team of market-leading tenant representation brokers, consultants and workplace strategists, Carlise provides a full suite of services such as trend forecasting and analysis, in-depth market research, financial analysis and modeling, workplace strategy planning, negotiations and overall transaction management.

“Having been in the client’s seat, I understand the challenges that tenants face when making the business, finance and HR decisions that impact their real estate,” said Carlise. “I look forward to bringing a deeper understanding of workplace operations and culture-building to our client advisory.”

“As our clients’ businesses continue to evolve, their commercial real estate needs have become much more complex and require a wide range of advisory perspectives,” said Horowitz. “Valerie understands how to balance the need for efficiency with employee satisfaction.”

“Throughout her career, Valerie has demonstrated the tenacity, intellect and organizational skills required to think creatively and solve critical business challenges,” said Peck. “These assets are incredibly valuable to our clients and we are thrilled to have her join our team.”

Carlise joins one of the top-producing tenant representation teams in New York City. The team’s clients primarily include major corporations, law firms, financial institutions, luxury brands and not-for-profits such as IHS Markit, NPR, Burberry, Tory Burch, Epstein Becker & Green, Ares Capital, Aberdeen Standard Life, SWIFT, OTC Markets and City University of New York.

Carlise has completed the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network’s Executive Mentoring Program, has her Senior Professionals in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University.
