Sydney start-up relocates to accommodate growth

Cloud consultancy firm Versent has committed to relocate its Sydney CBD office to 6 O’Connell Street to accommodate exponential growth throughout 2018.

Chris Rowe of Savills Office Leasing negotiated the five-year term for the whole of level six on behalf of Investa Property Group at a rate of $975 per sqm.

Mr Rowe said demand for the firm’s tech services had exploded since being named second on the Australian Financial Review’s Fast Starters list for 2017, fuelling the firm’s decision to upsize its premises.

“Established in 2014, Versent now consults to several high-profile clients in the finance, telecommunications, media, public and utilities sectors,” he said.

“The firm was drawn to the 26-storey office tower at 6 O’Connell Street for its prime location in a reinvigorated precinct in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

“With easily sub-divisible floorplates of 600sq m, the building appeals to boutique office-users seeking a core location, harbour views and close proximity to transport options.”

The 14,596sq m office tower is occupied by more than 40 tenants and has recently welcomed popular restauranteurs, Restaurant Hubert and Balcon by Tapavino.

Mr Rowe said recent upgrades at 6 O’Connell Street, including a lobby refurbishment and new end-of-trip facilities, had been another key drawcard for Versent.
