RICS names Savills Project Management 'Building Consultancy Team of the Year' for Fifth Year In A Row

For an unprecedented fifth year in a row, Savills Project Management has received the "Building Consultancy Team of the Year” award from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) at their recent 2017 Australian Awards.

The award recognised Savills Project Management’s involvement in the delivery of the ‘Queensland University of Technology - Creative Industries Precinct Stage 2 (CIP2)’ project.

Savills Project Management was engaged as Superintendent for the construction and commissioning phases of the QUT project. Comprising an 11,000sq m six level, 5-star Green Star (GBCA) development, restoration and re-adaptation of three heritage listed buildings, the project houses state of the art dance, drama, music, administration, research and support facilities.

Queensland University of Technology Associate Director of Major Projects, Lynn Green said “The Savills Project Management project team continually displayed their expertise and experience as Contract Superintendent throughout their engagement with QUT.”

The 2017 achievement follows the below listed RICS victories for Savills Project Management:

  • 2016 – 180 Brisbane, Daisho (QLD)
  • 2015 – 50 Martin Place, Macquarie Group Ltd (NSW)
  • 2014 – Legacy Way Tollroad Control Centre, Brisbane City Council (QLD)
  • 2013 – Leukaemia Foundation Relocation, Queensland Health (QLD)

Savills State Director of Project Management for Queensland, Ken Ng said the project team of Elliot Gooch and Emmanuel Materu, lead by Scott Coakes, should be extremely proud of this accolade.
